Exclusive #holoSerendipity Unit Interview: Nerissa & Elizabeth

We interviewed each performing unit of the upcoming hololive English 4th Concert -Serendipity-!

Thank you for your time today! In case there are any new fans reading, could you introduce yourselves and share a bit about your channel?

Nerissa: “Hiya Darlings, this is hololive English -Advent-’s Devilish Diva, the one and only Nerissa Ravencroft! My main talents are singing and acting, but I also really enjoy playing “retro” games (N64 and GameCube era isn’t retro to me…) I release a lot of original music and covers, and I’d love it if you’d check it out!”

Elizabeth: “I’m Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame – Lovely to see you, to see you LOVELY! – My entertainment reflects my love for music, acting and artistic creativity. The Bloodflame Kingdom welcomes all <3”

The upcoming hololive 4th Concert -Serendipity- is just around the corner, and you must be busy! What part of concert preparation have you been enjoying the most so far?

Nerissa: “Planning everything, to be honest! Picking the songs and groups, feeling giddy wondering how the audience will react, etc! That sort of preparation stuff is always what makes me most excited.”

Elizabeth: “I have very much enjoyed preparing my solo song – I love choosing songs which will touch the hearts of others. I hope my performance makes everyone really happy.”

How have the rehearsals for the show been going? Have you faced any memorable challenges along the way?

Nerissa: “They’ve been going well! Thankfully, all of my songs are a lot of fun, so it’s been really easy to get into the groove of things and just enjoy myself!”

Elizabeth: “The challenge is not having enough hours in the day – give me more time, Kronii!”

We’d love to hear the first impressions you had of your unit partner! What did you think when you first met her?

Nerissa: “Elizabeth… My mortal enemy (lore)! I actually have really wanted to sing a song with Elizabeth for a long time now we’ve been in units together, but haven’t gotten to sing a proper duet on stage. This will be our stage debut as a duo, so please watch us closely! Elizabeth is a huge sweetheart and I have admired her immense talent for a long time, so it’s a real treat for me~ On my channel, we’ve covered Utena’s opening song, “Rondo Revolution” together – I hope you’ll enjoy the song we’ll sing for you~”

Elizabeth: “She has a beautiful voice.”

So far, we’ve had 3 concerts for hololive English overseas. Thinking back, what is your earliest memory on a project together with your unit partner? How did you feel when working together?

Nerissa: “If I had to choose, I think it’d be our cover of the Utena opening song! I’d recently watched Utena for the first time, and “Rondo Revolution” quickly became one of my favorite songs to listen to. I really really wanted to do a duet of it with Liz, especially as I continued watching. I was very fortunate that she said yes! Her vocals are always so masterful, and hearing us mixed together in a duet for the first time made me cry a few happy tears…!”

Elizabeth: “My first time performing in a hololive English concert was unforgettable. Sharing the stage with such talented girls and our amazing audience will always be a treasured memory.”

What is the trait about your unit partner that you really admire and why?

Nerissa: “With Elizabeth, it has to be her kindness and encouraging attitude! If you’re ever nervous about something, she’s one of the best people in the world to talk to. She’s genuinely one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met, as well! She’s always looking out for me, even though I’m the senpai… She makes me wanna be a better version of myself, so I’m grateful everyday to have met her!”

Elizabeth: “Nerissa is a very graceful princess with lots of feminine charm – she is very good at captivating an audience with her beautiful voice. ”

How would you describe your unit dynamic to someone who is new to hololive English?

Nerissa: “Elizabeth is a member of -Justice-, and I am a member of the rebellious -Advent-! However, despite our differences, we both love music. And acting! Our personalities mesh well too, so you definitely get the impression of two people who respect each other and could talk for hours. ”

Elizabeth: “I would describe our dynamic as a duo as the perfect harmony.”

What are you looking forward to the most, coming together as a unit? Do you share any goals for your performance?

Nerissa: “I think we both wanna rock the stage and give you all an amazing performance you’ll never forget!”

Elizabeth: “We share that we want to do our best – work hard – create art and a fun musical atmosphere for all to leave the show with a smile.”

So, without spoiling the show, do you have any hints you can share about the performance?

Nerissa: “I’m bad at not giving spoilers, so all I’ll say is that you’re in for a lovely treat~ hololive English never misses, and I think all of our performances will make you feel a lot of excitement!”

Elizabeth: “Get in the wibbly wobbly whimsy timey wimey robot!”

Nerissa: “Us talents have been giving it our all to bring you a fun, exciting concert, so please cheer for us with all your might!”
