Exclusive #holoSerendipity Unit Interview: Gigi & Cecilia

We interviewed each performing unit of the upcoming hololive English 4th Concert -Serendipity-!

Thank you for your time today! In case there are any new fans reading, could you introduce yourselves and share a bit about your channel?

Gigi: “Gi Murin! It’s Gigi Murin from hololive English -Justice- here! If you’re looking for someone who talks about absolutely nothing for 20 minutes before she even touches the game at the start of every stream, that’s me! Gigi Murin!”

Cecilia: “Hiya!!! It’s me! Cecilia Immergreen from hololive English -Justice- ~ Spiiiiiiiiiin to wiiiiiiin! I like tea, flowers, music and HAVING FUN! YAY!”

The upcoming hololive 4th Concert -Serendipity- is just around the corner, and you must be busy! What part of concert preparation have you been enjoying the most so far?

Gigi: “I’ve been enjoying seeing everything come together. During preparation, you get to see every single part, from conception to delivery! And it’s reeeally interesting to see how things tend to evolve over time, be it a small change in choreo because you decided that it would be better done this way! Or while you’re practicing singing and you come to realize it would be more impactful if you sing this part a certain way! While also being able to see everything staff is doing to make this a good concert!”

Cecilia: “I really like dancing! So dance lessons and the likes have been really fun! It’s also always cool to see the behind the scenes when it comes to the background video and lighting effects, etc! Honestly it’s so impressive!”

How have the rehearsals for the show been going? Have you faced any memorable challenges along the way?

Gigi: “Rehearsals have been going well!! I think one thing that I really really really really really struggle with is when I get too tired I drink too much water but then I get a stomach ache but then I still have to keep dancing so I have to dance with a stomach ache… this has happened way more times than I’d like to count.”

Cecilia: “I will be having…….. A prop…….. For one of my songs! Maybe even two props?? What could they be…. It’s been a challenge figuring out how to handle those! But! It’s all gonna work out I think! KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!”

We’d love to hear the first impressions you had of your unit partner! What did you think when you first met her?

Gigi: “Who is she!!! Who is this person!! Why’d they give me a complete random person for my unit!!!!!!! Jokes aside, I hope everyone’s ready for some MADNESS!!!!”

Cecilia: “idiot”

So far, we’ve had 3 concerts for hololive English overseas. Thinking back, what is your earliest memory on a project together with your unit partner? How did you feel when working together?

Gigi: “We met each other…. BEFORE DEBUT!!!! GASSSSSPPPPP. I don’t know how or why she was there but she was there! Do you think she’s stalking me?”

Cecilia: “Aaaaah…. So long ago……… I barely… remember… it was something pre-debut!!!!
Since then we’ve worked on all kinds of things together and it’s always gone well! Yay!”

What is the trait about your unit partner that you really admire and why?

Gigi: “She’s good at getting stuff done.”

Cecilia: “She doesn’t easily get rattled and is very dependable!”

How would you describe your unit dynamic to someone who is new to hololive English?

Gigi: “CCGG! MADNESSSSS!”

Cecilia: “CCGG MADNESS!!!”

What are you looking forward to the most, coming together as a unit? Do you share any goals for your performance?

Gigi: “SAY OURR CHANNNTTTSSSSSSS”

Cecilia: “We want to produce a super energetic performance so while watching PLEASE MAKE SOME NOISE!! BE AS LOUD AS YOU CAN BE! WE WANT TO HEAR YOU!!!!!”

So, without spoiling the show, do you have any hints you can share about the performance?

Gigi: “Um. No. It would give our performance away.”

Cecilia: “No spoilers pls”

Please share a final message to your fans before the concert!

Gigi: “Thanks for coming to see me! I hope you have fun wherever you’re watching from! Be sure to stay safe, stay hydrated, and always be aware of your surroundings! Don’t lose anything!”

Cecilia: “Thank you so much for always supporting me and all of EN!!!! I’m so happy to be here and always so excited. I love music, dancing and performing for you! And I hope you can keep cheering me on! No matter if you’re at home, at the concert, anywhere in the world! I hope we can all keep having good times together! C:”
